Samsung Launches It State-Of-The-Art Pixon Camera-Phone Using an Interactive Viral Campaign
Samsung Electronics, a global leader of mobile technology, ventured into the world of online media to launch its Samsung Pixon globally.
The Samsung Pixon is an 8-megapixel touch screen camera-phone that delivers the photographic quality of a digital camera. Within its 13.8 mm slim body, Pixon features the latest camera functions as well as its own unique Samsung Mobile Widget technology which enables users to personalize their phones with downloadable widgets. The Samsung Pixon, which will be available in February 2009 has a x16 digital zoom with Auto Focus, fast shutter, face detection and geo-tagging – all controlled through a 3.2 inch touch screen display with slim and sleek design.
A Widget is a little software element that resides on the default, or home screen of the M8800 and many of Samsung’s up and coming products. The Widget can best be described as a little window, or box, that provides immediate access to different information types. The Widgets are user customisable, in that each user can individually choose which to display. A Widget would typically provide a ‘one click’ access to the information you are looking for, hugely simplifying the ability to access to important information while mobile. More Widgets will become available over time, making the incredible information resources on the internet available in the simplest way imaginable. “AccuWeather”, “CNN”, “Google Search” and “More Widgets” are embedded by default, providing a taste of the information, and the simplicity of delivery that these incredible innovations offer.
With “More widgets” navigation and magazine widgets can be downloaded right onto the Samsung Pixon. One of the main advantages of Samsung Mobile Widget is, unlike other widget services, more than one widget can run at the same time on the same screen.
